Can a Chiropractor help me?

When it comes to paramedical treatments, chiropractic care is often the one that patients are most skeptical about, but also the one they know the least about. There are many myths surrounding chiropractic care which prevent people from seeking treatment; chiropractors aren’t real doctors, they only treat back pain, all they do is crack bones. These common misconceptions alter the way people see chiropractic care and ultimately prevent them from getting a treatment that can reduce pain and treat injury in an effective and timely manner.

Chiropractors treat conditions related to the nervous system, skeletal system and musculoskeletal system and the impact that these conditions can have on overall health and wellbeing. Many people believe that chiropractors only adjust or “crack” the back, however, they use many manual techniques to treat more than just the spine.

What will your treatment look like?

When you go for treatment, a chiropractor will take a medical history but also a lifestyle history. Examining what factors in your daily life could be contributing to your ailments. They will then use a combination of adjustments, massage, muscle stimulation,  mobilizations, stretches and lifestyle coaching to assist in your recovery. They will then give you exercises and stretches to perform at home that will assist in your recovery.

Patients experience increased nervous system function, more restful sleep, improved mobility and pain relief, stronger immune function and less need for medications.

      Hey Luke!

Chiropractors and physiotherapist would be able to work wonders on your neck, back and muscle pain! Where are you located? Our chiropractor is great if you are in the greater Toronto area (Ontario, Canada)

If not, your best bet is to look up local clinics and their reviews and choose one that has a good reputation/good reviews. Most clinics will always let you book a consult to talk with the practitioner before getting treatment, you could also try this and go with the one you feel the most comfortable with!

Good luck! Were glad you found our blog to be useful!
